A Fable

Once upon a time, there was a school for animals. They taught running, climbing, flying, and swimming, with every animal partaking in all subjects. The duck mastered swimming but struggled in running. To improve, it missed swimming lessons for running practice, deteriorating its swimming skills to 'moderately satisfactory'. The eagle was considered a problem student, and it had to be placed under strict supervision. In climbing lessons, it was always the one who reached the top of the tree first, but it had its own way of getting there. The rabbit, once a running champion, experienced a breakdown from strenuous swimming training and had to leave. The squirrel, a climber, suffered cramps from ground-start flight training, impairing its climbing and running.
